   This is what you made me feel

   This was a special night. My knees jittered, trembled, and I felt that my body was about to fall on its own weight.  I felt numb. I felt my heart beat twice as fast. I felt like my body was floating – both on water and in the air. I thought to myself, “Can one truly feel this degree of happiness in a world filled with uncertainty?  Could this truly pull you from the traps of reality?” I truly felt an unexplainable feeling that left me smiling throughout the night. 

   I was in the vast expanse of the sky, because of a dear friend of mine who I believe has summed up the totality of my being. I felt secured. I felt appreciated. I truly felt that I have someone who I can lean on. Perhaps this is the reason why I was feeling these unfathomable emotions.

   You may wonder who this person is. Well, she is what she is. She is young. She is clever. She is classy. She is talented. She is my great friend.

   She is someone who put colours on my somewhat bland day. She is someone who cheers me on when everyone else put me down. She is someone who lends me not only her hand but her arm when everyone else would keep theirs. She is someone who pats me at my back whenever I do something good. She is someone who supports me, and says: “Go matt! Kick their arse!” or “Do not worry, matt!” Or better yet, “Matt! We cool!” In other words, she is someone who never failed to make me feel the best person there is.

   I am very glad that throughout the years, our bond and our friendship grew even stronger despite our differences in our time. While for some, “the out of sight, out of mind” hold true, to her, this doesn’t. The loosening effect of time did not diminish the quality of friendship we have for each other.

   I may have said this to her over and over again, but the friendship I have with her is one that I will never take for granted.  This Friendship we have is a special one, one that I know for sure, I will never let go of.  :D

   Kristina S. Cabanez, you truly are the best embodiment of what a “Best Friend” is. Hope you won’t change! :D
